They take their ping pong seriously in China. Unlike schools in the United States, there is a row of ping pong tables adjacent to the playing field on campus at the Handan No. 1 Middle School. Kids seem to bring their own paddles and balls to play during their gym class. There are also ping pong tables set up in the public parks. I’ve seen this at Bryant Park in New York City too, but in China it’s clearly more mainstream.
