I am in my second semester of Chinese classes. This week we are covering lesson 13 in our textbook and they are just now teaching us how to say “toilet” in Chinese. When I went to China last January one of the first things I asked how to say in Chinese was “where’s the bathroom?” You’d think such a practical and important phrase would come much earlier in the book. Go figure.
By the way, I realize that this photo has nothing to do with the word “toilet,” but I’m posting it because it’s another cool photo I took in China this summer.
Another postcard from me in China to me in the US. They were both postmarked July 28 in China, but one arrived yesterday and this one today, August 28. This one is a reminder of “the worst of China.” I love this photo.
