We had planned to do some hiking around the Shaolin temple, but it took a lot longer to get there than we had anticipated, so we decided to take a gondola up the mountain and hike around from there. A few minutes in, the cable abruptly stopped. What should have been no more than a ten minute ride up the mountain turned into an hour suspended forty feet above the ground in a two-seat cable car. At least we were amidst the trees with a roof over our heads and breeze blowing through. Another chance to practice being in the moment and just going with the flow—what else can you do?
I have to admit that I was on the brink of panic a few times while stuck on that cable car, but I managed to get through it without any serious breakdowns. Not bad.
